Titanium Coils FAQs

When compared to stainless steel, titanium coils are significantly lighter. This not only makes them easier to work with but makes them suitable for a wide range of applications, too.

In addition to being lightweight, titanium coils are more resilient to fatigue, which means they are more durable and have a longer lifespan.

Another great thing about titanium is that, unlike stainless steel, it doesn’t rust and will retain its lustrous look for years to come.

Here at Ti-Tek, we supply titanium coils in a range of grades, thicknesses, and lengths. We also have the skills and tools to cut coils to length – providing a tailored solution for your project requirements.

One of the only drawbacks of titanium coils is that they don’t come cheap. But we guarantee some of the most competitive prices at Ti-Tek. So be sure to get in touch to find out more.

Titanium coils are malleable and easy to twist, handle, and cut. Over the years, they have spiked in popularity – particularly for sub-ohm vaping.

Depending on how often users vape and the flavour(s) they choose, the coil can last anywhere between a couple of days and several weeks.

To prolong the lifespan of titanium coils for vaping, you want to avoid dry hits which occur when the wick is dry and the heat from the coil is burning the wick. Holding the power button for too long can also dry out the wick faster, so this is not recommended.

Another thing worth noting is that a dry tank makes a dry wick, and a dry wick results in dry hits. Therefore, make sure the tank is full and the wick is wet.

It’s important to note that titanium coils that are kept clean will last longer. Carefully remove the coil and give it a quick rinse under hot running water before gently shaking the water out and leaving it to air dry.

Yes! As an ISO9001:20015 certified company, we can assure you that our titanium coils and other titanium products are sourced from approved mills with full traceability.

Offering excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, high biocompatibility, and shape memory function, titanium coils can be used in the welding, chemical, pharmaceutical, and health and medical industries.

Perhaps more surprisingly, they have taken the vaping world by storm. Given the metal’s favourable characteristics, vapers needn’t worry about the taste of their vape being affected by burnt-out wicks, dry blows, and excessive temperatures.

Admittedly, titanium coils may create titanium oxide – but top quality coils (like the ones we provide at Ti-Tek) will only oxidise and soften when they reach extremely high temperatures.

In the unlikely event titanium found its way into the vapour and was accidentally inhaled, the effects would be minimal. Given that titanium is so widely used in medical applications, you can rest assured knowing that the body doesn’t react badly to it. The small amount of titanium in the coil, therefore, poses very few risks health-wise.

Plus, titanium coils make for excellent temperature control wires because of their high TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) properties. Meaning the resistance of the wire increases as the temperature does, making it perfectly safe to vape with.

One of the main reasons titanium coils are used so widely in vapes and e-cigarettes is their responsiveness. Unlike some other metals that are used to make coils – like nichrome – titanium rises and falls in temperature in rapid time.

This speedy transfer of heat allows vaping cigarettes to work very quickly, meaning users can enjoy their vaping without having to wait a long time for their coils to heat up. Titanium coils also don’t eat up a lot of battery power, so users can vape for longer.
