Ti-Tek Titanium Specialists

Titanium Sheet

Looking for quality titanium sheets for your industrial application? Great – you’re in the perfect place. Ti-Tek is a UK leading stockist, so we’re confident that you’ll find the ideal titanium sheet for your industrial requirements.

In comparison to other metals, titanium has the highest strength to weight ratio, offering high tensile strength and low heat transfer – making it an excellent choice for countless industrial applications, particularly manufacturing. Titanium’s high corrosion resistance is another valuable characteristic which makes it ideal for marine applications. When exposed to the atmosphere, a titanium sheet forms a tight, oxide film that’s able to resist corrosives, such as salty seawater.

Titanium sheet supply

Here at Ti-Tek, we have a wide range of titanium sheets in stock at our Birmingham-based facility and ship products to clients – not just in the UK but, worldwide. Though they come in various sizes, the great thing about our titanium sheets is that they are extremely versatile and can be custom cut to match your exact requirements.

In addition to this, our titanium sheets can be cut and stamped to produce unique components – and bent and formed through heat treating to create various shapes.

As an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, we are committed to quality and stock only the best titanium sheets on the market.

Our titanium sheets are available in grades 1-12. Grade 2 titanium is the most widely used and versatile pure grade of titanium. It’s easily formed and welded and used almost exclusively for airframe, aircraft engine parts, marine, and hydraulic tubing.

Grade 5, commonly referred to as Ti-6Al-4V, or the ‘workhorse’, is a titanium alloy made up of 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium. Despite being light in weight, this alloy is extremely strong and has good formability, toughness, and creep and corrosion resistance. It’s predominantly used in airframes and turbine engines, as well as surgical parts.

Titanium sheet applications

Titanium sheets are renowned for their combination of high strength, low density, corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and performance at high temperatures. Thanks to these impressive properties, industries – such as aerospace, medical and, oil and gas – make use of titanium sheets.

The possibilities are endless with titanium sheets. Supplied in all sizes, you can use them to create all manner of products, ranging from aircraft frames to intricate pieces of jewellery and engine parts.

    Titanium Sheets FAQs

A titanium sheet is a piece of titanium that can be manipulated to create a cut specific to your requirements. Although titanium sheets are easy to form and weld, it doesn’t mean they’re not strong.

They’re reliable, formable and corrosion-resistant, making them the ideal material to create alloys with.

Because of how easy they are to shape - and their high strength-to-weight ratio - titanium sheets are popular in industries including the medical and machinery sectors.

Titanium sheets are used in a variety of different industries. They’re commonly used to create parts of airframes, machinery and jewellery.

With titanium being such an easy to clean material, it's often used to create surgical tools for the medical sector. They’re strong so never lose their shape and are corrosion resistant so can last a lifetime.

Another benefit of titanium is its ability to withstand extreme temperatures. This makes them the perfect material to create engine parts, hydraulic tubing and gas containers, as their performance will never be affected by high pressures and heat.

Titanium is relatively affordable compared to other precious metals like gold and silver.

The strength combined with the low cost of titanium makes it popular across a wide range of industries. With it being such an inexpensive metal, many people choose to create alloys with titanium to make high-strength parts for aircraft frames and engine parts.

Titanium sheets are famous for their strength. The metal can be combined with other metals to create alloys and form extremely tough materials.

It’s such a popular metal because its strength doesn't affect its weight. In aircraft parts, it’s important for each section to be as light as possible - using titanium sheets means strong components can be made without weighing down the overall engine.

We provide a wide range of sizes of titanium sheets here at Ti-Tek to create various products. Get in touch today for more information about the services we offer.
